LCL and Postero Lateral Corner Reconstruction

Overview
Lateral Collateral Ligament (LCL) reconstruction replaces an injured or insufficient Lateral Collateral Ligament. The ligament is most often injured by a sideways blow to the knee from the inside while the foot is planted. LCL injuries often coincide with injuries to the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) or meniscus.

Procedure
The patient is anesthetized and arthroscopy is performed to assess the condition of the knee. A separate incision is necessary to repair the torn LCL and postero lateral corner.
